Phishing Scam for Adobe PDF Reader Users
A new phishing scam targets Adobe PDF Reader Users. This new phishing scam fools people by sending an e-mail thinking it comes from Adobe, announcing a new PDF Reader/Writer version. The real Adobe advice people who received the said email to simply delete it.
The said phishing scam email has a titled “download and upgrade Adobe PDF Reader – Writer for Windows.” It has a fake logo of Adobe and provides you a link that would send you to a malicious code once the recipients clicks it. In some instances this phishing scam emails require recipients to register and/or provide personal information. The email address of the said phishing scam comes from Adobe newsletter@pdf-adobe.org . The real Adobe informs that these emails are phishing scams and not been sent by Adobe’s behalf.
