Google launches URL shortener Goo.gl for Google Toolbar and FeedBurner
Search engine giant Google launches its own URL shortener service named Goo.gl under the ccTLD of Greenland. Goo.gl is not offered as a standalone URL shortener services for now, it’s being built into Google Toolbar and FeedBurner.
Many people share a lots of links online. And if your not familiar with URL shortener, those are services that lets you squeeze a long URL into s fewer characters to make it more easier and faster to share with your friends. Common URL shortener are TinyURL and Bit.ly.
Google also placed some security measures that automatically detect websites that that may contain malware or phishing schemes.
