This number the second-highest opening of the X-Men franchise, behind X-Men: The Last Stand in 2006, which debut on Memorial Day holiday weekend with $102 million.
Romantic comedy “Ghost of Girlfriends Past” in second place with $15.3 million. Beyonce Knowles thriller Obsessed finished third, with $12.2 million. Zac Efron comedy 17 Again placed fourth with $6.4 million followed by Monsters vs. Aliens with an estimated $5.8 million.
