Rapper Dolla killed at Beverly Center Mall | Dolla shot and died

Another rapper was shot and died. Atlanta-based rapper Dolla was shot and killed Monday afternoon at the Beverly Center Mall. Dolla was killed by a suspect who escaped using a silver Mercedes Benz. according to police.

Rapper Dolla whose real name is Roderick Anthony Burton II, had just arrived in Los Angeles from his hometown Atlanta earlier in the day and went to Beverly Center Mall to shop, according to Sue Vannasing his publicist. While waiting in the valet with another rapper, D.J. Shabbazz, Dolla was shot in the head. Dolla was taken to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, where he died.

About two hours later, LAPD detained a “person of interest” as he attempt to board a plane out of Los Angeles International Airport. “The suspect was detained without incident [and] discovered to be armed,” said Los Angeles World Airports spokeswoman Nancy Castles. Police later find the Mercedes in an airport parking lot.
