Underwood won the top awards at the 2009 Academy of Country Music Awards. She won the Entertainer of the Year and Top Female Vocalist. Carrie Underwood was became only the seventh female act to win entertainer of the year, putting her name alongside Loretta Lynn, Dolly Parton, Barbara Mandrell, Reba McEntire, Shania Twain and the Dixie Chicks.
