UroRead: World’s Smallest Urine Tester
Korea has developed what so called “UroRead” world’s smallest urine tester device. The UroRead (Personal Uroanalysis Reading Device) is just like the size of a pack of cigarettes, it helps patients with chronic illnesses to check their conditions anytime.
Patient will just place a urine sample on a test paper and inserts it into the device, which displays information on a variety of illnesses. Large urine analysis used in hospitals determine the types of disease by analyzing the color of a photographic image of a urine sample. Instead of a camera, UroRead uses small LEDs in the form of computer chips shine light on a urine sample and the device analyzes the reflected light.
