A Brazilian Wandering Spider | World’s Deadliest Spider found at Whole Foods Market, Tulsa
The World’s Deadliest Spider “Brazilian Wandering Spider” or also known as “Banana Spider” was found in a bunch of Honduran bananas at a Whole Foods Market in Tulsa, Oklahoma. The Brazilian Wandering Spider is extremely lethal venom use to kill its prey. A single bite could kill a person within 25 minutes.

The Brazilian Wandering Spider can grow to 10-13 cm or 4 to 5 inch leg span, body length ranges from 0.7-1.9 inches, hairy, with strong spindly legs. Their distinctive features are red jaws which they display when angered. The Brazilian Wandering Spider wander the jungle floor at night, rather than maintaining a web.
Fortunately, the employee was able to capture the Brazilian Wandering Spider in a glass and it is now at the University of Tulsa’s Animal Facilities Department.
