Yeng Guiao found a new home with Burger King
After leaving RedBull Barako, Coach Yeng Guiao found a new home with Burger King. Yeng Guiao who wins five PBA championships with Swift and RedBull will handle Burger King in the import-spiced PBA Fiesta Cup.
Burger King is the old Air 21 franchise, Jorge Gallent will be Guiao’s assitant coach. Sixty-percent of Burger King in the Philippines is owned by the Bert Lina Group of Companies, the same group that owns Air21 and FedEx. Yeng Guiao ended up his nine year relationship with RedBull. RedBull traded up their key players for a little return due to financial constraints.
“We have already agreed in principle to a two-year deal,” according to The Philippine Basketball Team head coach Yeng Guiao. “Only the minor kinks are left to be ironed out.”
