Kelly Kellerman: Actor shot in head on stage
Kelly Kellerman, 81-year-old, was the actor shot in head on stage last Monday night, Jan 19. The said actor was shot in head when a prop gun used in a rehearsal for a play, “Of Mice And Men” turned out to be real and loaded.
Kellerman’s co-star Bill Bordy pulled the trigger. According to Bordy who was so upset after the incident, “I’m the actor, I’m the director and we’re running and late, and without thinking I didn’t check the gun”.
“Actually, it makes me feel kind of special. My fifteen minutes of fame,” joked Kellerman. Kellerman was already released from the hospital and is now back at his home in Sarasota.
The gun was brought in by a fellow cast member who forgot to remove the bullets before it was used in the rehearsal. The said incident happened at the Manatee Theater in Bradenton and police are investigating the case
