ColdPlay and Lil Wayne earned the most noms in the 51st Annual Grammy Award Nominations

British alternative rock band ColdPlay and American rapper Dwayne Michael Carter, Jr. better known as Lil Wayne earned the most noms in the 51st Annual Grammy Award Nominations. Lil Wayne receives eight Grammy nominations including Album of the Year for Tha Carter III while ColdPlay receives seven Grammy nominations including Record of the Year for their song “Viva La Vida”.
The award announcement is quite different this year. The 51st Annual Grammy Award Nominations were kicked off with an hour-long live CBS concert, hosted by LL Cool J and Taylor Swift.
