Philippine Basketball Association has given Fil-Am Gabe Norwood green light to join this PBA Annual Rookie Draft to held at Market! Market! Activity Center in Taguig City. Norwood was given until Friday to submit his Bureau of Immigration recognition and Department of Justice affirmation for his Filipino citizenship. Since the Department of Justice (DOJ) contends that Gabe Norwood no longer needs to comply the said documents. Read more

Gretchen Espina from Biliran won the first Pinoy Idol. The Final showdown of the Pinoy Idol contest was held at the SMX of SM Mall of Asia. The three finalist left for the first Pinoy Idol were Jayann Bautista from Pampanga, Gretchen Espina from Biliran and Ram Chaves from Cagayan de Oro. It seems to coincidence that the three left finalist has came from the three regions of the Philippines.
