Chocolate Hills of Bohol going strong on New 7 Wonders
Chocolate Hills of Bohol has going strong in the search for the New 7 Wonders of Nature. Few days ago Chocolate Hills was on the 5 position but things has change now because Bohol’s Chocolate Hills went to number 4 position. Followed by another Philippines nominee Puerto Princesa Subterranean River National Park which also went up from number 6 to 5.
Chocolate Hills of Bohol are probably one of the Philippines famous tourist attraction. It is composed of around 1,268 perfectly cone-shaped hills, all about the same size, spread over an area of more than 50 sq km. The hills are covered in green grass that turns brown during the dry season, giving them the name ”Chocolate Hills.”
According to legend that the Chocolate Hills was made when two giants threw stones and sand in a fight that last for days. But when they finally tired, they made friends with each other and decided to left the island. But left the island with the mess they made that turn some into hills. Until now geologist has not reached a majority of opinion on how Chocolate Hills was formed.
